New User/FTP problems

Just signed up with powweb, and I'm having some difficulty with ftp.

I can connect to the host (ftp02.powweb.com) using both Dreamweaver and using Mac OS X's "connect to server." I can see directory listings no problem.

However, if I attempt to transfer any files when I'm in Dreamweaver (either up or down) the app hangs, with no error message. I *can* download files using the OS X ftp connection, but I cannot upload anything -- it says that I need to be the root user.

Any ideas?

I am having the same exact issue. I emailed tech support yesterday, and I have yet to hear back. Let me know if you get an answer!
