Another Newbie

I am using the temp. URL. I have uploaded files to the site.
I am lost on finding the files themselves.
Where do I go to find them?

What are you using to upload your files?

Did you load the files to :: /htdocs/ files go here

I sent them to /htdocs.
I am using a Weather program that auto ftp the files on a set schedule. it shows 5 files have been uploaded, but not sure where to find the directory once they have been uploaded.

if one of then is an index page it will show up when you enter www.yourdomain.com into internet explorer, otherwise type the full path

www.yourdomian.com/afile.htm

You have to have one of the following for the main page to load when someone types in your URL

In order of priority

index.htm
index.html
index.shtml
index.shtm
index.php
index.php3
default.htm

Right now the "main page" is the default Powweb index.html file and I find no index.htm in there.

Once you have an index page, you need to remove the old default PW index. Unless you upload a new index.html to overwrite it.

Thanks for the help.
I downloaded the program and I got the index.html and some jpgs uploaded to w6wtg.com.

I am using a weather program that uploads jpgs every 3 minutes or whatever I set it for.

Now I am trying to upload the jpg files.

05/02/03,16:36:32,FTP Command failed.,Sending c:\vws\template\broadcast.jpg to ftp02.powweb.com/broadcast.jpg
05/02/03,16:36:32,No error.,Logoff from ftp02.powweb.com

So now trying to get this one set up.

If you want the file to go into htdocs you will have to add the path
ftp02.powweb.com/htdocs/broadcast.jpg

Otherwise it goes into the root dir.

It dosen't explain why it failed, Sorry.

Try uploading to:
host: yourdomain.com
username: your FTP user name
Password: your FTP password
