Well, since I'm Graphically Challenged, I won't enter the Graphic Challenge ;)

But I thought I'd share a couple of things that I was playing around with.

This first one is just a photo of a lake in Idaho. I created a moon and added it into the photo using Photoshop layers.

Second one is just some playing around in Photoshop and making a planet, moon and adding a web around the planet.

Nothin' fancy, just playing with lots of filters :)

i like them, very serene.

The first one reminds of a night, ooh 20 years or so ago when a friend of mine and myself had spent a comfortable evening on the beer in the docklands of the east end of london. It was a balmy summers night with a clear sky and we were walking around the deserted docks, the water was stoney still and reflected the sky like a mirror. What with the beer, and whatever ;) , looking into the water was like leaning over a cliff edge and staring into the void of space- if you can picture what i mean. Very moving :p

man, is it just me, or does the first one look like it's rendered? Craaazy. Anyway, I like it. I like the second one more. :) See, you're not art-challenged JJ, you're just self-conscious.

"and the lord smote satis with a terrible affliction
and yea his backside became of positive attribute
and his pants became of negative attribute
and sitting down became a thing of ridicule amongst the people of powweb"

Thanks guys

But the way I look at art, is that it is from someone who can take an idea and turn it into a full image, be it on canvas or computer screen. Adding not only the static images, but feeling and movement as well.

What I do is just static imagery, fun to play with, but in my opinion, not any form of "art" or true "artistic" talent to create.

Paul, you liked the pic of the lake so I tossed another one up for you to enjoy Just the photo, no added effects or Photoshoping :)

jj...this last photo you showed is not centered correctly in my opinion. Try and rotate it by some degrees to make the horizon as a perfect straight line perpendicular to the wall of the photo.

To help you keep a straight line, always place a guide on photoshop or psp

Hi Neville,

Which one are you talking about? If you mean the "Still Morning" photo, that is just an undoctored photograph taken by someone else. I just posted it because Paul had said he liked the still water of the first one that I posted.

The person taking the photo probably had the camera at a slight angle.

I've been to that lake many times, and have always loved the way it looks in the early morning hours with the morning fog hanging over it :)

No Problem :)

I only "wish" that I had taken that photo, it was taken just a couple of days ago. I would love to have been at that lake then, or right now would be even better :)

I thought as Satis did, too idylic to be real.
Perhaps it should be one of the wonders?:)
