New Formula 1 Site

I just launched a Formula 1 Site on my webspace and I already hav a bunch of companies which want to sponsor my site. I just dont know if my site is good enough. Please tell me what you think before I pubish it under the real domain.

Hi Hurricane,

You know it is a Formula 1 site the minute the page loads and you get the green flag. The colors are good for a site of this subject. Lots of good info about F1 racing, past and present.

The forum would not load. Don't know whats up with that.

With sponsors coming on board drop the personal links and stroke those sponsors and take the checkered flag!

I know that Bravenet has problems today with their service. My poll, minipoll, Forum and other things won't work. I just put those things in there for now until I make my own ones. The personal links are in there since it is still a part of our own personal website. They will dissapear when it I pubish it under the real domain.

I hope that you stop by more often. I work on it almost every day. I still have 20 pages unpublished and I still have some ideas. I hope that you saw the disclaimer. It is a pure fan page, non commercial. I already have offers from companies, but don't know if I should do that.
I'm currently working on the navigation. As you might saw it is in Flash, and the new one will be also in Flash, but with more "bells n'whisles LOL
Thank you so much...That's the reason why I do such a site: for people who acknowledge work and enjoy it like I do!

Hi Hurricane,

Very nice site, well thought out and very nicely laid out as well. A site that any race fan would love to visit often :)

I've only one comment to make about it, on your menu, at the very bottom, where you have the 3 links for Top 50 F1 , Top 100 F1 and F1 Top List. Using IE and a screen resolution of 800 x 600 the F1 Top List does not show, and only 1/2 of the Top 100 F1 shows. This may be because you have your frame for the menu set for no scroll. But thought you should be aware of it.

All in all, a GREAT site and one that sponsors should be happy to put a few $$'s into.

Keep up the good work and I wish you the best of luck with it.

Oh... in Netscape all of the menu shows, even in 800 x 600 .. but there aren't that many Netscape users these days.

Thanks for the hint and your comments. I am aware of the 800x600 problem, that's why I've added the resolution advice at the bottom. For now it is ok and I have to live with that. But all this will change when I have my new Flash navigation done. So far I'm still working on the main core of the site and that is constantly changing. Content was the important part for me so far. The fine tuning comes later!

I got some comments, why did you put them in your site?lol...Pitbabes belong to the Formula 1 like the drivers themself. I think that they are the "eyecandy" in racing and on most of the F1 websites. So no further comment ;-) Just take these pics as they are, part of the F1 world. By the way: my wife had the idea, she said that a real F1 site has to have them as well. And I think that they are more than pretty :D What do you think? ;-)

The babes , guestbook, forum, news and interactive are in the middle as links under the helmet pic. I will move those links soon into the Flash navigation to make it more consistent. You might want to refresh your browser before you look again. I hope that helps. Sometimes those links dissapear for a while while I work on the site and your browser needs to refresh the page.
