View Full Version : Access_log File Size (webstats)

Running webstats on your own by editing the weblizer.conf is working fine for me & others, but when the file size exceeds 20 - 30 MB, then the webstats stops working. Though in past I've seen webstats getting updated even with bigger logs, but not anymore.

My site generates a log file of around 50 -100 MB in 1 - 2 days, it gets pretty boring to go and delete logs everyday & I also loose my stats.

is there a way to auto delete the accesslog file after every run, or after a certain file size limit?

I would like to thank "Sandy" for helping me out with my webstats.

I have one more question....

when ever I delete my access_log file, a new file is created with the same file size of the deleted log file.

The file name is something like .nfsAffffba2a4.4 & it is not possible to delete this file (.nfsAffffba2a4.4 ) unless you logout and logback in.

Great! Now I have 2 such files (.nfsAffffba2a4.4 & .nfsAffffba2a4.4), each of these files are of 60 MB in size.

No matter how many times I hit the delete button, they dont seem to get deleted!

anyone would like to help?

Hi there!

You may need to contact support@powweb.com for help with that. The only thing I think that ya could do is use phpshell or something and deleting the file though it.

If that does not work, ya might wanna swing a note to support.

Good luck!
