i received a complaint from domain registry of america about transfering registration to tocows, but i appear to be all paid up. what's the deal with this?

i should remark the domain registration seems to have been transfered from tocows to Domain Registry of America

Now I signed up only through powweb and have done nothing with the billing at all to transfer to another domain registrar.

I'm a little confused by all this.

I suspect you may have been deceived by Domain Registry of America into transferring your registration to them. PowWeb uses Tucows for its registry services. A common scam is to send domain owners what looks like a bill for renewal but the fine print says it authorizes transfer of the registration.

Oh I've been dumping their bills for months now. Apparently they got hold of my email addy. -- or maybe i messed up.

thing is the domain registration does seem to be down. I think because my isp (pacbell) did some funny with the mail, that I have not received any billing information. long story with a 2nd mailbox.

still, i'm paid up with powweb, so it should be all good right?
