Hi everyone, I was hoping I could get some feedback on our site. We are new to online and found creating this website pretty challenging. If you could give any feedback on the following it would be greatly appreciated!

1. Do the links work, do you get 404, 304, or other page errors?
2. Do you think the images take too long to download?
3. Is the design too busy (the striped background image)

Anway, thanks in advance for any feedback and you can be as brutal as you like!

Thanks,
Michele

Hi ahr222,

Went to all links and found 2 errors.

This page did not load. You need to remove the " . " and make the link stpatricks with no spaces or use the st_patricks. I suspect that is why that one won't work.

You need to fix this link in the links section.

The whole site looks like a wedding site which is very nice and elegant, but you might liven up the party pages in some way. It's party time on those pages remember! I see you are not using themes so you can change some pages without affecting other pages.

Some pages seem unfinished, but i assume you are still working on them.

Need to get those meta tags ( keyword, description, robot ) added. When the robots show up at your web site door you want to be ready to answer. Most of your text on a lot of your pages is embeded in your graphics. The robots won't be able to read it. Maybe think about adding some text that will match up to your keywords, decription meta tags etc.

Otherwise very nice.

I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out. All of your comments were right on the mark. We are still working on putting all of our products up, we have about 100 to go and I think I am really sick of the shopping cart html :)
It is true we should add some spark to the pages not dedicated to wedding and anniversary we haven't been concentrating on those pages yet and are spending a fortune in advertising which is probably a big mistake. Ugh, the troubles and turbulations of the web. As far as the metatags; I thought I only needed them on the pages that I submitted to the search engines.

I will get them on the other pages. The large amount of images is due to the fact that I'm actually a designer and much more comfortable with photoshop then frontpage and find I can't get it to listen to me.

Again, thanks so much...a much needed, helpful critique,
Michele

Site looks real good....

My only suggestion..... the "ALT TAGS" associated with the images... should use a Descriptive Title..... currently when you hang your mouse over the image.... you get the image file name...

Some people use these... as extra explanantions of the link associated with the image.... some people don't use them at all....

Anyway..... you're off to a really good start.....
