I have inserted several Animated Graphics on my Microsoft Front Page built website. However many of them do not work properly. How do I get these to start working correctly? Any help with this would be appreciated
Animated graphics are images and FP should not make any difference. Are you sure then work properly outside FP? What is your website so that I can give it a look?

They were working when we downloaded them off of the Clip Art website to our Harddrive but they did not work when we inserted them on our Website. The url is: http://www.cactusflatsranchandarenas.com
What Each of the Graphics Listed is supposed to do are:
Bull Rider: The Bull and Rider are supposed to Move and Jump, and the Bull is supposed to blow Hot air out of his Nostrils.
Jobs,Home, Back,Rodeos,Next,Concerts, Links, CEOs,Facility,Rentals: Buttons that have Suns that are supposed to Turn.
Dancers:These are supposed to Dance
Dancing Snake: Is supposed to Dance and Shake, as if moving to Music.
Guest Book Icon: The Pages on the Book Icon are supposed to Turn.
PowWow Girl: She is Supposed to move her feet, and Beat her Drum, as if Dancing to Music.
Striking Snake: He is Supposed to Strike out, as if someone had Incited his Anger.
YMCA Chili: Is supposed to Motion Y M C A with his Arms and Hands, and Dance as if to Music.
I snagged a couple of your images from your page, and from what I can see, they must have been corrupted or someone has tried to open them as a standard gif. There is only one frame per image, and that is not what an animated gif would be (there would need to be several frames). Also, none of the ones I saw there none had transparencies either.
I doubt that FP was the culprit, so you might want to check the files on your hard drive and make sure they are working properly. You may need to download them again.
One other point, you should not use file names with spaces in them. Some browsers will not show anything that has spaces in the file name.
I've just created an animated image for one of my Websites with Gif Animator 4. The animation displayed fine locally but when I uploaded it to my site on Powweb, only the first static frame shows up.
Any ideas? Let's see a show of hands for those whose animated images do work on Powweb!
Thanks.
Jack

I suggest you reread jj's post. If your .gifs do not show as animations on the web then they are not. Simple as that. Operator error. Need more help refer to the operator manual.

JJ posted good points. And Front Page is not to blame. When you saved your animation, did you save it correctly? All my animations, animated GIFs have always worked fine.
I use Photoshop and Image Ready. When I save the file, it must be saved in Image Ready as a GIF optimized for web, then I must save the original PSD (Photoshop document) in case I need to edit the file. All of the layers can be seen in Photoshop and the frames can be viewed in Image Ready.
Try creating a new animation or try saving one that works elsewhere and do not edit it. Upload it to your server and see if it works. You are probably saving it incorrectly or editing it and losing the animated frames.
Okay, my hand is up. My animations work! ;)
My animations work too....

Animated gif files can be quite large, and if you have done any editing, you need to edit every frame and then recompile the animation with all its frames.
note.... you must allow enough time for all frames of the animation to load... animations take up a lot of time and filespace. They need to be used with care.

Charon, love your Siamese cats. The animations are fast for my cable modem. :)

Croc, is that your girlfriend? She sure is animated! :D
Very quick lesson on animated GIf's.
Most important,,,, do NOT edit them in any way unless you know what you are doing. Animated GIF's are made up of frames containing an exact replica of the image with a slight change in each frame. When the Animation is saved it is saved to rotate those frames. If you do not edit the animations in a specialized programe designed to handle animations, you will only be able to edit the very first frame and then when you go to save them, the program by default will save that entire GIF as a transparent GIF with all the frames stuck together and you will only see the very first one that had been edited. Because the frames are stuck together they cannot rotate like they are supposed to.
When using FP,, it is vital that absolutely NO edits are made to the GIF, that include resizing unless you know what you are doing. Just insert as is where you want it and then leave it alone.
In short,,, Animations do work on powweb as long as you follow the rule,, if it ain't broke,, don't; be fixing it.
