i am getting some practice in texturing as i believe at the end of the day it is the textures and lighting that make or break the scene

here is an image i have done using 3 planes and stars created by an emiiiter.

Now without being too proud i think the detail is superb and for that reason i tried to compress it a little as i could and still make it viewable for the plebians still on dialup :D

it's about 170 kb jpg compressed but with detail at max

nebula (http://www.wanbridge.net/stuff/mynebula.jpg)

Perhaps i may try to animate this, render time was around around 2 mins

I have so may projects cooking away but i have to keep moving on to others as i try to learn more techniques. It would be great if i could do a star birth animation, sort of start inside the neb and show the birth and perhaps end with a supernova ( rememer them BHD ??:D )
