I'm currently using cuteFTP and my trial is about to run out. Anyone know of a similar program that is free?

I HIGHLY recommend flashFXP. While it's not extremely user friendly, it's VERY fast, AND free.

Don't let the user ratings scare you away, it's much better.

Another to consider is SmartFTP. You can find it at:

SmartFTP (http://www.smartftp.com)

not User friendly??
in what way??

I've used CuteFTP, WS_FTP [What a pathetic excuse for an FTP Client that is], IEFTP [?? is that even classed as an FTP Client?], FlashFXP..

And FlashFXP is BY FAR the best of them all, hence the reason I've been using it for the past 10months since I found it..

Rating: 11/10 :-p

I'm currently using Ws-FTP and have tried CuteFTP and FTPVoyager.

I'll give FlashFXP a try and see what I want to use going forward. The problem, it's difficult to rerally see the advantages and disadvantages of each.

I am a big fan of LeechFTP as it supports threaded FTP sessions... If you want speed and ease of use, Id definitely go with Leech... Its a free download from Download.com.

The only problems I have seen are some failed uploads when you have a bunch of threads going. The failed uploads will be listed though so you know what you'll have to upload again...

WS_FTP LE or PRO are pretty nice as well, I used to use them.
