Need a gif animation program

Can anyone suggest a good program for making animated GIFs?
Preferably something free. I only want to do a couple from a series of still pics that I took.

you could download Paint Shop Pro 8 trial version. It has a good integrated animation package with it's image editing.

Microsoft GIF Animator (http://www.idp.net/freesoft/gif_anim.asp) is free. And, unlike most other MS offerings, is not bloat-ware.

Thanks. I just downloaded it.
BTW the link you gave me wouldn't download the file. After a google search and about 8 other sites that wouldn't download, I finally found one that would.
Will give it a go tonight and see what it is like.

If you would please, post the address you found that you could download it from. I hate having to "register" to download freeware....

Sounds like you got it sussed.

Gifworks is good for online basic .gif stuff with heaps of resources to work with. upload. etc. etc. http://www.gifworks.com/

As muijefr says PSP animation shop from v4 on is great.
(it's the only good thing in paintshop pus) :p
