My phpBB forums are down, I get this error:
"phpBB : Critical Error Could not connect to the database"
So then I went to phpMyAdmin and got this error:
"Error
MySQL said:
Host '127.0.0.1' is blocked because of many connection errors. Unblock with 'mysqladmin flush-hosts'"
So is MySQL down? Does this have anything to do with PowWeb?
Thanks!
I'm getting same error on lunar.powweb.com. It was happening about 40 minutes ago, then it was fine. Now it happened again. I noticed response times were getting a little longer just before then also....:(

Powweb just keeps telling me "Have you asked on the forums? Those guys are really good."
My msg board has been down for 5 days now and they won't fix it. Other phone techs tell me "Thats your problem." Thats what he said, really.
My theory- they upgraded to MySQL 4.0 and it auto-updates Cpanel causing corruption. They won't admit it though.
No respond yet?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes its like I got your money now so @#$% you!
I been having trouble for months with out one reply form some one that can help.

That is odd and very unlike PowWeb, although I did send them an e-mail to their support and never got a response, it has been over 24, which is what they said it would take to respond in the confirmation e-mail.
My database is back up and running again, it has been since yesterday afternoon, I am on Lunar.
I'm having the same problem, my forums are down and when I try to access it I get this error:
Database error in vBulletin 2.2.5:
Invalid SQL: SELECT COUNT(*) AS threads FROM thread
mysql error: Can't open file: 'thread.MYI'. (errno: 145)
mysql error number: 1016
Date: Tuesday 01st of July 2003 03:09:11 PM
What does this mean? Is the MySql server down or what?
think that would be a curpt table
you just need to repair it should be fine
I fixed it. Thanks Biker.
