FTP on Mars

Anyone have an ideas when FTP will be available again on Mars?

I have not been able to update my site since yesterday and have not received an answer from support, despite the posting in the announcements that Mars apprears to be working.

Have a look at http://forum.powweb.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23180. They now acknowledge the ftp problem and say they are working on restoring access. It is helpful that they have finally posted something about it.

While it doesn't make me feel any better (having just lost a major update I made to my site yesterday after two months of work), this sort of glitch is inevitable when there is a significant configuration change. No matter how careful, competent, or well-planned the upgrade (and I have no doubt that PowWeb's technical staff are careful and competent), this sort of thing is almost certain to happen. We'll just have to let them sort things out and hope that the change will, in the long term, provide the promised service improvements. It's all par for the course.

I was able to connect and successfully reload all the lost updates. I hope they stay put this time.
