my package doesnt expire till september and my domain doesnt expire till the 23rd of july. on the 30th of june i went ahead and set the domain for 2 years and got a 30.00 money order. i didnt send it yet as i didnt think i had to rush seemings i had till near the end of july to get it to you. however now i go and under billing it says closed and the domain 2 year registration order has been cancelled. do i need to reorder the domain package now? i am sending out the money order today and want to make sure that i get my domain renewed. i guess i should have sent the money right away but really didnt think about it since mine was still active.

well see the problem is that my domain/website is not working at the moment. i dont know why as my domain is still registered till next week and my package doesnt need renewed till september. anyways my email is through squirrelmail and i cant access that without my site which means i cant email anyone. i already sent the payment with a note to please reinstate the order .. i dont know what else to do. i dont have a phone, no way to email from the billing address, and well i can just hope they see this as well as my note. i dont know why my site isnt working though :(

please can someone answer my question. i still have no site which also means no email and i dont know if it is a problem with space or if they messed up on my package. my domain should be active till next week and yes i sent in my 30.00 today. my package renews september so that should not be affected either but yet everytime i go to my site it says page not found. as i said before i went ahead and set up the order for 2 year domain renewal but i didnt think that went into affect until my domain this year was ready for renewal which was still 3 weeks from when i placed the order. i didnt send the money till right in time for my domain to be renewed but i noticed the same day it was sent that the domain renewal order was cancelled and my account closed. please please someone help me. if i could email you i would but my email is through my site so i dont have email now either. i just dont know what to do. i didnt think i needed to pay for the domain so early but yet now i seem to be penalized for failure to pay right away. doesnt anyone order something ahead of time? i really need help cus i love this place, i NEED my site, and i need my email. please please help!!

if they had just waited i sent the money order of 30.00 out yesterday morning as i had always intended. i didnt see why i needed to send the payment nearly a month before my domain needed renewal but here you see it is closed and cancelled. i hope they will fix this .. someone please fix this.

i do notice that my package says it is active and my domain says it is registered as it should say but yet there is no site. maybe this is a space server thing as so many others are down? i dont know though as noone will let me know. i have no idea if this is just the server being down or if they actually cancelled/closed my account that should be perfectly fine right now. everything is still paid for, the money was sent yesterday but isnt due till next week, and i am well under the 45 GB transfer quota.

As (jj) said above, your best bet would be to contact billing@powweb.com to find out why it was canceled.

If you don't have e-mail, but do have web access - go to Yahoo.com and get a free mail account - and e-mail them from there if you have to. Since the billing deparment does not always read all the forums, sending an e-mail is probable the best way to go.

no my domain was registered till next week so i didnt need to pay for a renewal till now. it doesnt expire till the 21st. i sent the money out yesterday and so they should get it just in time but they cancelled the order for the domain renewal before they even received the payment. im just hopeing they will renew the order because it is a valid one. i was just waiting till my domain was ready to be renewed instead of paying nearly a month in advance for something i already have. also the site seems to be working so it must have just been a space issue. thank you all though for taking the time to at least read this. im sure everything will be back to normal once they get my payment. i just wondered cus i sent 30.00 for a cancelled order and want it reinstated. thats all ;)

I think you misunderstand the way domain renewal works - or really, any sort of "subscription". You pay for the renewal at the time you order it - you don't wait until just before the term is about to expire. You're not double-paying by not waiting until the last minute.

You ordered domain renewal and didn't pay for it on a timely basis, hence PowWeb cancelled the renewal. Seems quite reasonable to me.

I suggest you contact billing@powweb.com and arrange prompt payment.

well then yes i did misunderstand cus i thought it would be a double-payment or something. thats why i waited. i already sent the money out so there is nothing i can do but wait till they get it and hope they will reinstate the order for 2 years. i wrote a note with the money order too. i didnt understand how this works at all. thanks for letting me know though. i was afraid the money would go toward already paid domain time. little did i know
