I'm almost there (I think). I ran the mt-load.cgi script and it looked like it ran fine. Then I deleted it as said in the instruction. I then tried to run the mt.cgi script as told in the instructions on running MT, but then I get this "Can't load error template; ....."

What does that mean?

I've tried and moved everything into a directory called 'moveabletype'. Now the error during the loading is that

"Loading initial data into system...

An error occurred while loading data:

Your DataSource directory ('./moveabletype/db/') does not exist."

The setting in the "mt.cfg" for DataSource is "./moveabletype/db/".

What do I have set wrong?

Pretty neat. I see it's a weblog utility. Pretty good one too from what I can tell. Are you allowed to mod the source? I noticed that it has a license fee if you're a commercial site.

I'm not too sure about how far you can mod the source (as I'm just getting mine started), but you can change the look and how it work to your liking by modifiying the CSS files in an app like Dreamweaver. Regarding how far you can mod, you'll get more answers in the forums at www.moveabletype.org
