feedback on my design??

Hi! I'm taking graphics design for my major in university so I kinda made a page about art and maybe put some of my works up there. Most of the links aren't up yet, but i'd really like some feedback on the layout and design cause if I wanna change, i'd like to change before I finish everything and find out it doesn't look that good. nice site you have there... Are you going to keep the purple box at the beginning though? takes a while to load on slow connections

Nice designs. A bit slow on the download for people with slow connections.

I don't know if you are doing this purely just to show of your graphic designs or if you are trying to enter a web design career path. So I cannot really critique the site much. From a web developer viewpoint, you have your work cut out for you a bit. Major horizontal scrolling issue and color schemes clashing a bit on computer screens etc..

A good clean concept, I think you can really start building it up a bit more and go from there.
