View Full Version : Just a simple POP3 acccount needed

I got to Ops and enter a new user under POP3 section.

Do I need to do anything to the SMTP tab for that account? I don't want it to forward anywhere else.

When I try to send out the email I get a "relay access denied" error from the powweb server in Eudora.

So I try another account, and another. Now these things are piling up so I click "remove" in OPS. They aren't active but still show on the page.

1 - How can I wipe out everything and start from scratch and has anybody seen the "relay denied" error.

2 - Some of the previous help threads referr to tutorials that should contain info on "port 24" but the page linked does not contain the term. Is there a specific page?

Thanks,

I'll be back ....

1) Relay denied - your email program needs to have the option of STMP server requires authorization enabled.

2) What info do you need? Port 24/25 is pretty straight-forward...

That's funny. I DID click on it and read it. My question was what specific page contained detailed info on port 24,25 becuase in other threads the linked pages did not contain any mention of them.

I DO know how to set up an email account and have done so dozens of times over the past 15 years. Until powweb it all went smoothly. I just have to figure out what is different with powweb.

I did some digging and I think I have to edit the ini file to be compatable with powweb. I'll let you know how it goes when I do that later. If the solution works you can add it to the knowledge base.

... CLICK on it, good one.
