Flaky Webstats?

Is anybody else having trouble with their webstats? In my case the stats update normally but shows yesterday's date. I use my own cron that has worked perfectly before now. Any ideas?

My cron that updates my webstats also reguarly dies every once in a while and then after a couple of days it works again. I think it has something to do with the size of your Access log.

It hasn't died technically since the stats continue to update every hour as scheduled. The problem is that its showing all its new stats for the 5th, not today.

Interestingly, the date generated correctly reflects today's date, the 6th. Very strange.

I also noticed that the access_log file shot up from 3MB+ to 9MB+ in a matter of hours, could this account for my problems? Further, how and when is access_log.zip created? Any help would be appreciated.
