Hi Guys,

My website is all about aviation photography and I have abour 1000 images on my website, however, it seems that Powweb is chewing up my images.

I've had to replace lots of images where some or all of the image has disappeared, the ones that have completely disappeared still show up on the file system but with zero bytes.

What's the problem here? Is this a regular thing that servers do or is there a problem with my account?

I've checked my system stats and I'm only using 200MB / 7300 files out of the 650 MB / 15360 files that I'm allowed so my account isn't full or under pressure.

Anyone got any ideas? I can't keep replacing images.

Regards,

Frank.

when you're uploading the files to the server, make sure you're using the binary transfer mode, not ascii, in your ftp frogram. maybe thats it.

good luck, -b

I've been on PowWeb for over a year, with now four sites, and have never seen this problem. My guess is that your upload process is faulty.

Hi Guys,

The pictures were uploaded perfectly, I check every picture & page after upload to make sure everything is ok.

The images have been "disappearing" over the last few months, most pictures are fine but the rest are or have disappeared.

Still no ideas?

Regards,

Frank.
