Oh boy...you've got problems. First, make this one thing clear. This is not like GeoCities or Fortune City or one of those. There is no user interface where you can design your own pages. You just can not drop and drag files around on a Powweb page. Basically you have to FTP all your files to your server...and you are in total charge of your own files. If you have no idea how to do this...quit now and get your money back. Powweb supplies no page to manage your pages and files.
Good Luck.
Shawne,
As long as you’re willing to learn this should not be too much of a problem for you. If you got this far, the rest is merely a matter overcoming a few hurdles.
From your message, I will assume that you have your own web site already. You either used some kind of web development software yourself, or had someone else do it for you. In any event, where there is web development, there is usually "web publishing". :)
First, where exactly is your web site and what software was used to create it?

come on horsepill it ain't that bad. if you have a web site then simply ftp it to your htdocs folder which you will see when you ftp in. if you need help on ftp read the instructions on the powweb member ops pages else we can walk you through it. if you havent't got a site yet there a million EASY ways to create one not least simply using word

This should point ya in the direction 'o gettin' an FTP program an instruction on how to install an set it up.
This will enable you to upload to you'r site.
The info ya'll need to enter into the FTP program will be in an email from PowWeb when you sign'd up.
After that, jus' ask more question's. There are very knowledgeable an helpfull people within this forum.

Sorry about my first reply...but its like jumping into cold water. It may hurt at first, but you get used to it.
First things first. Do you have your web pages designed and ready to go, along with any graphics or whatever?? Thats the hardest part. If not, there will be a lot of work to be done. Make sure you have some kind of directory tree if you have multiple pages or folders to upload.
We can go from there.
Shawne, my best advice would be to either pick up a book on webdesign basics, or go to a tutorial site like http://www.htmlgoodies.com/primers/basics.html (a very good place to learn, Joe Burns is an excellent teacher, he'll walk you through step by step).
A lot of people use an HTML design program like Frontpage but I think they inevitably find themselves needing to know some html language. It is by far the simplest of languages, and once you learn it the web is yours, well so to speak. And then, all you'll need to design your website is an electronic pad of paper, like Notepad which comes with Windows.
Be sure to read the tutorial Dude pointed to above, about FTP (File Transfer Protcol).
A simple website is really not that hard, though there is a bit of learning to be done (gotta have a little determination, no doubt). Of course, the more complicated the website, the more learning involved.
The process is a little more in depth than can be relayed properly in this forum, but it isn't very difficult and you'll be celebrating your new website before you know it :)
