I see a note in my new OPS area that my "quota" of POP3 accounts is 10. When I signed up, my understanding was that this was 50.

Now, 50 is probably way too many, but 10 is way too few.

What does this mean, exactly?

I am also curious of why there are only 10 now.

Before we offered a total of 50 MB for all your POP account combined. If you were to have a total of 10 POP accounts, then each POP account would have a limit of 5MB each. If you only have one POP account, then you have the full 50 MB for that specific POP Account.

The current settings on our new system:

Each POP account is limited to 10 MB. If you were to have 10 POP accounts, you can actually store a total of 100 MB on our server (or even 500 MB of mail with the current settings). This is how our new system works right now and it might change back later. So, there is pro's and con's to both. We are still honoring the 50MB.

Ummm...well, that clears things up a little.

Now, the e-mail storage is still separate from the web space (100MB), right?

Also, when are you going to change the public advertising about these features?

From over 20 years in the IT business I can tell you that some users will be delighted with your new changes, more will be just slightly annoyed that you changed things without advance notice of what you were about to do, and the rest will simply be outraged and willing to go immediately to court with claims of false advertising.

Just out of curiousity, what happens if someone had more than 10 POP3 accounts before the change? Are they all still there or were all but 10 accounts deleted?

This didn't happen to me, I'm just curious.

Thanks!

Please understand that our main objective is to make all of our customers happy. We are not in the business of tricking or lying to our customers. We just feel that these changes will benefit all of our customers in the long run. Once we confirm this policy with POP accounts are engrave in stone, we will address it to the public.

Charles,

No POP accounts were deleted during the upgrade with the new control panel.
