Hi ,
I just siged up for webhostiing with powweb last night and today I uploaded a few files with FTP program. It seemed to go well no error messages, but if I go to view my site on the temp web address it don't show up. Yes I did upload the index.html file what else could I have done wrong?

also once all the files are uploaded is that when I should transfer my domain to powweb? and will I be charged extra for it?? I thought it said name domain included with a one year plan.

when should I make changes in outlook express so my mail goes to the right place?

I have been using yahoo webservice for 4 yrs now but I kinda feel lost with everything new.

Thanks for you help..
Ceal

Your temp URL http://haminahaminacom.powweb.com/ is loading fine for me. I'm getting the same page as what you have on the other host.

I may be wrong, but I don't think the "free domain name" applies when you are transferring an existing domain to Powweb. I believe it only applies for new domains registered through Powweb.

Thank you everyone for the reply. Yes I saw last night the temp site was working. I just was hoping I didn't goof things up already since I never used FTP before. I apreciate you checkng it for me.

That is too funny you thought Ralph Kramden was Hitler for a minute! LOLOL

I guess I might as well swtich the domain register to powweb too so everything is in one place. I'l do that as soon as I upload everything.

I guess I could go head and set up the new mail setting in Outlook Express, too, right?? And I'll just check both areas till it gets switched?

Thanks again,

Ceal

You can't transfer the domain registration to PowWeb. You may as well leave it where it is if you're satisfied with the registrar.
