Authentication failed whilst attempting FTP

hello,

i'm trying to set up blogger.com to work with my site. all was well and good until i tried to publish my very first blog. i got this error:

Current Status:
There Were Errors in Publishing.
004 dk.eos.net.FtpError: Authentication failed, sorry

here are my settings:

publish server: ftp02.powweb.com

path: /htdocs/bozoblog/

blog filename: bozoblog.html

and the URL points to a page that is existing on the site as it recommends.

i've got my username and password configured and i'm wondering what might be causing this error. any suggestions or solutions would be most appreciated.

What is dk.eos.net? Double check that the server name (and your username/password) are correct. Other than that, I don't know much about blogger, so hopefully somebody else here can help you further.

i have checked my settings and all seemed normal according to their rules.

still hoping there have been others who have seen this repsonse whilst trying to
publish a blogger entry. surely i can't be the only one who's seen this...

i have a feeling that stuff you mention above is just jibberish caused by the error.
my settings do not have that info in the entry box.

ALL SORTED!!

seems it was nothing i had done wrong at all. i just went back to blogger.com
and tried to republish my first blog. it went though fine the first time.

must have been a powweb thing.
possibly server down or something weird like that.
complete mystery...
