How long does it usually take for an account to be cancelled?

I sent two separate cancellation requests last week and 5 days later (after receiving an e-mail stating that my account was in queue for cancellation), my account and website are still active. Does this indicate that my cancellation is still in queue? Being Monday, I expected that my refund would be posted today, however, I am unsure. I thought it to be a fairly simply process.

Can anyone shed any light on this situation for me? I would send an additional e-mail to billing but I don’t feel that should be necessary. The process as it is explained is very simple, however, I am beginning to wonder if it is.

Thanks in advance.

Seems as though my account was not closed until today – after I e-mailed them voicing my concern as to why it hadn’t been disabled. So now a one step process has turned into four. While my refund should have been posted yesterday, it will now be posted next Monday.

This isn’t to voice displeasure with Powweb. While utilizing their hosting I was rather pleased. However, I’m using this as a way to hopefully help others who cancel their accounts. Make sure that you follow up with Powweb after canceling your account under OPS - preferably 48 hours after cancellation, as the process does not seem to be automatic. This will ensure that your account and refund will be posted in a timely manner.

Sorry to see ya go 300PM. It may also have been due to the cancellations only being processed on a weekly basis. From the FAQ:

How do I cancel my account?

1) Login to http://ops.powweb.com
2) Click the ‘Packages’ tab
3) Click the link in the center of the page that says: "Fill out the cancellation request form."

Cancellations are processed every Sunday.

Hope this helps.
