I installed a slave hard drive( That has data from a HP Pavillion machine) into a newly built computer. The bios recognizes the old hard drive but I cannot access the files. Is there a way to encode the files on this HD?
The drive doesn't show up in Windows under my computer?

I located a document file converter online and downloaded it. Now the files can be read.
that's weird. What kind of file converter? I'm interested since I've never run into a similar issue.
