View Full Version : Zericon plotter help please
Yes, I know the thing is a dinosaur, but plotters are expensive as hell, and this one was free. Basically the situation is this, I was given a Zericon plotter, no software or pens. I have a local shop owner who swears he can get ANY driver ever released for anything, so I will be driving out to hit him up for one. just in case he has no clue where to get parts, I need to find out where to get pens, from all the searches I have found several places, all list K pens in association with Zericon. However, I have no clue as to the model number, there is nothing on the machine itself.
Does anyone either have a Zericon plotter, or know where I could find a picture of the plotter to see if it is the same pen mount that I have? Drivers or anything else is a plus, but I am mainly just trying to find out what this thing is.
Uses an RS-232 interface via 25 pin serial port (will need to get adapter for 9 pin I think) is a single pen unit.
Guess what I got? :) A manual for one of these old dinasours...I have a Zericon PC3600
Plotter and manual...Is this the type of plotter you have? If so, will scan at work
and send you the manual in pdf form.

Trying to add photo to the post but am new and don't see a way to add photos.
It states in the manual the plotter emulates a Houston Instruments DMP41/42 plotter.

That would be awesome. I had to think for a bit, wow, that was a while back. I still have the thing floating around, still no drivers, or manual, it would be awesome if you could help out.
Will digitize at work and forward to you when done...

I am doing this for a friend, he has a Zericon 4000 plotter, free also. No driver, won't work with XP> Perhaps your manual would be of some use to him? Thanks
