Linux and xp partitions
Can Xp read ext3 partitions... When I set up my linux server I will be using it for a file server as well.. and I need to be able to make them talk through samba.. do I just have to format my storage hardrive and mount it as a fat 32 partition?

no, XP can't read ext3. Also, no you don't need to format the partition as fat32. When you share it out with Samba the xp box will see it as if it were a windows box running a windows FS. I'd stick with ext3 anyway because it's a superior file system.

no problem. :) If you have any more linux or other questions, please feel free to blurt it out. I actually have a fairly good knowledge of linux (at least compared to most of the world).
