awstats problem

I am trying to install that awstats thing and I am receving all the time that messages...everything is chmod to 755 as they explain...what am I doing wrong????

Error: Couldn't open config file "awstats.www.xxx.com.conf" nor "awstats.conf" after searching in path "/www/x/xxx/cgi-bin/,/etc/awstats,/etc/opt/awstats,/etc,/usr/local/etc/awstats": No such file or directory

Setup (Config file, web server or permissions) may be wrong.
See AWStats documentation in 'docs' directory for informations on how to setup awstats.

but all the files are there???

Or you can have two conf files.

awstats.www.xxx.com.conf

and

awstats..xxx.com.conf

that way either way you go to the site stats it will work.
