awstats- no server log file ??

ok, I set up awstats last night, and i tried to update it manually with the "update now" link, but I get this error:

Error: Couldn't open server log file "www/g/greentheory/logs/access_log.1" : No such file or directory

Setup ('/www/g/greentheory/cgi-bin/awstats.greentheory.org.conf' file, web server or permissions) may be wrong.
See AWStats documentation in 'docs' directory for informations on how to setup awstats.

how do I fix this?

no, i am not typing www. I am typing "http://greentheory.org/cgi-bin/awstats.pl" to access my stats. I can load the stats page, but it has no stats on it, if I try to update the stats, it tells me that there is no log file, which is totally separate from your error, which won't even load the stats page if you put the www.

i went into ftp and i did confirm that the file that says is not there is actually there.. so what's going on?

Looks like you're missing the starting / in the configuration file. Double check that you have it in the config as /www/g/greentheory/logs/access_log.1

ok, so now awstats works but it still doesn't show anything after october 1 at 1:00 am with only 1 hit..

I thought the whole point of installing awstats was that it would fix this problem?!

Unfortunatly, not yet. The logs are not rotating right now, so using access_log.1 won't update.

Once they start rotating again (within the next couple days I hope) you should use access_log.1, but for now, if you would like to see your stats, change it to just access_log
