Hey, I'm thinking something is wrong with PW's time zone scripts.

Right this very second it is 11:15AM EST in Ohio.

If should be 8:15AM PCF in California (this is where PW is located, correct?)

Yet, at the bottom of PW pages we receive this:

All times are GMT -5 hours. The time now is 07:15 PM

What is wrong here? Heh. Lemme know. I'm confused as it gets.

GMT stands for Greenwich Mean Time, which is the main time zone. All others are based on it. So you (I believe) are in the Eastern Standard Time zone which is 5 hours behind GMT. This lists GMT by default because its the main one and people, no matter where they are at, will know what time each message was posted.

Hope this helps
:)

No, that really doesn't help (thanks tho!!!). I understand what GMT means and how everyone should be using it.

But it still doesn't make sense because when:

it is 13:49 here in Ohio
it is 11:49 there in California
it is 18:49 in GMT
it will say 20:49 on PW's web page

That would be +200 hours putting it in Cairo, Egypt.

shed some light anyone?

thanks

You mean the time on the message board? The time it's telling me is 8 hours fast. (I'm in EST too.)

Yeah, the time on the message board. It's eight hours fast for me, too.
