It was working fine a couple of hours ago, now when I click it, I get the following error:

Error: Couldn't open file "/www/f/fraki/cgi-bin/awstats/awstats102003.ansaridesigns.com.tmp.12824" for write: Permission denied

Setup ('/www/f/fraki/cgi-bin/awstats/awstats.ansaridesigns.com.conf' file, web server or permissions) may be wrong.
See AWStats documentation in 'docs' directory for informations on how to setup awstats.

I haven't changed anything in any file since the time it was working.

Fraki, what server are you on? I just reported something similar on www07.

www07 it is.
Any idea if this problem will cause me to miss out on any stats?

Beats me! But given Powweb's ability (hah) to deliver stats, yes, it probably will screw up stats.

I just tried it again, and it would seem that it is fully functional once again.

It is now working fine here too. Updated and does not seem to have missed any data as the access_log files also rolled over....

I am not sure what happened, but it is now working. Thanks powweb.... things always work out in the end.

eeks.. had to repair some typos.

Now if only I could get that gosh darn crontab to work so I don't HAVE to click Update Now...

hehehehehe... my crontab is not working either.... and i have convinced myself i PREFER to update manually. That helps me avoid frustration......

I think it is a good thang many crontabs don't work to avoid heavy drain on server resources all about the same time....

Well I'm not sure if it's not working or if it's my lack of understanding that is causing the confusion. OH WELL... I'll survive.

:-) I like that, however, sometimes I am unavailable to updtae just before 12 and I would like to have an accurate count before the log files roll over.

Just set it up to look at access_log.1 and have it run at 2AM or something like that. You'll get all of yesterday's log, no hassles.
