1. I'm on dialup and I checked your site with IE, Mozilla and Netscape. The best time was over 2 minutes to load the page.
2. Have you looked at your site with Netscape or Mozilla?
A Picture (http://www.rccomputer.net/test/swquad.html) is worth a thousand words they tell me.

Over two minutes huh? And your right, that is pretty ugly. But i really cant help it if people make bad choices on their browser :)
Seriously though, what would cause such slow load times, and i dont know enough about the different browsers to know what i would have to do to make it more netscape friendly.

Nine times out of ten, it's caused by using non-standard code and CSS. IE uses a lot of proprietary HTML "attributes" that don't look correct in Mozilla, etc.

Have you added up the total for all the graphics that your page contains? You might be surprised at the size of some of those graphics and animations.
In my opionion, anyone who designs and/or maintains a popular website, should have at least one other browser on hand to test with. Personally, I run Mozilla Firebird and use IE for testing only.

I've been using Mozilla for quite a while & highly recommend it for both it's excellent HTML standards compliance and advanced features such as pop-up blocking & tabbed browsing. Yesterday, I put Firebird (Mozilla browser only) on my daughter's laptop & was further impressed by how fast it loads.
Firebird 0.7 (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firebird/download/) was just announced today. Definitely worth trying for anyone who's never experienced a "real" web browser
