Web stats unreliable

I have noticed the the webstats does not register nay activity every 4 or 5 days. The about once a month it takes a 3-4 day break. Why? Usually it does this when I am expecting a large number of visits/hits.

WHY?!>!>!>!>!?

How can i fix this?

Are you using the Webalizer webstats? They break up for most of us with any traffic. You can try AWstats. There is a tutorial on PowWeb and several threads on the forum that you can read before trying it.
