I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem.

I have two email accounts configured under Outlook
Personal Account:
Powweb Account:

From the Powweb Account:
I sent a very important email to two seperate individuals, that contained 5 attachments at no more than 230k. The first individual got the emal and everything was peachy. The second individual got the email minus the attachments. But I never knew that they didnt recieve the attachments.
They later replied to me and stated that I did not correctly attach the files.

I then sent the "very important email" from my Powweb Account to the individual, they stated again that I forgot the attachments.

Fom my Personal Account:
I sent the email with the attachments and it worked.

This is not the first time the Powweb Server "Stripped My Attachments"

has this happened to anyone else?

please help me

I would normally think that you hit Browse, but forgot to Add Attachments, but I had trouble sending attachments yesterday. I tried my PowWeb email, my ISP email and a Hotmail account.

The file was zipped and I finally uploaded it to a server and sent a link to the file to my client. With all those email viruses, mail attachments are getting tougher. Many are filtered.

My sister had the same problem with different ISP and other email accounts.

To show an example of what Yvette is referring to:

If I zipped up a bunch of documents and name it message.zip, I would have a difficult time due to the recent virus attachment named that very same thing.

Ok, I understand that the filter could strip the attachment going to a different server, but I cant believe that it would get stripped going to one powweb user at my domain, but not another?

There is just no reason for this

Keep in mind that if each end-user has filters in place, or if they access mail at work where firewalls are in place, that could also affect it.

There's many possibilities besides this being a PowWeb issue. It very well may be, but there are other possibilities.

Are either of the users over the mail quota?

The file I tried to send was one zipped PSD named logo.zip and I couldn't get it through! Joe, a graphics designer, sent a logo.psd to me, but I couldn't send the edited file zipped or unzipped!

Have you emailed support@powweb.com or filled out the form in OPS?

I had the email attachment problem with the PowWeb, RCN and Hotmail account. A few days ago I had no problem with any of them. I check webmail and do not use Outlook, so that can be eliminated from my problem. People send attachments to me, but I can't send attachments anymore. I deleted quite a bit of email to be sure that the space quota wasn't the problem. ?

This is terrible, I have called Powweb and I have had zero response from them. They say they are waiting for "THE MAN" Gary or who ever he is to come in and fix the problem.

Apparantly this is such a huge problem that no one can solve it.

any other ideas?

And yes I did send a message to Customer Service
