I have downloaded phpbb, and uploaded it onto my filespace. How do I use it? How do I install it? Where do I start?

have you set up your database in member OPS?

I use phpbb. The download comes with a readme. You'll have to have a database set up like jet said and change a few things in one of the .php files the download comes with. I think then you run something like install.php and you should be on your way.

Once you have setup mysql in OPS. Use the Install guide that came in your download. Here's the latest online version. http://www.phpbb.com/documents.php?mode=install

You run the install.php in your browser - will be something like:
www.yoursite.com/phpbb/install/install.php

Then delete it, and some other files for security, see your install guide ;)

thanks for all the help. I have a myslq up. I am using it for a shopping area with os. I am going to try evertthing you guys have shown. THANKS!
