View Full Version : Sites to have reviewed
Hello there. This is our first post to the forums and I would like to say that I am very pleased with PowWeb.
As we have completed our company's site (incl. our portfolio sites) & would like some input from you others out there. All the sites that we have showcased here are sites that myself and my wife have designed.
Our company is Progeny Pro Creations and we are Web & Multimedia Designers and Internet Specialists.
Please check out the following urls and let us know what you think. Include any specific ideas or comments regarding them.

Thanks in advance.
Welcome to powweb.
Very nice design there.
Thanks. Anything particular that you liked or disliked? Thought could be added?
Well ... the right click prompt maybe you wanna change that.
There is no need to have right click disabled on your site, you dont have many images that anyone will copy. If you still want to have right click disable, that can be done without the prompt message ... or use dhtml right click menu script. when some one right clicks on you site a nice looking menu will open.
Another thing ... may be you wanna check the link color in the text area .. its yellowish ... FF9900 ... may be a contrast color?
just a thought.
The design is professional, need not to be changed.
Nice layout and color scheme, looks very professional.
Just a few "picky" things ;)
1. For a professional designer, why would you use a splash page with very little content? Seems to me that you'd want to optimize your site so that the search engines would be crawling all over it.
2. Opening onsite pages, such as your portfolios, in a new window is very annoying to some users. The rule of thumb used by many developers is to open offsite links in a new window, but keep all onsite links in the same window.
3. No-right-click scripts are just a nuisance and serve little purpose, especially with a site such as yours. If a person wants your code all they have to do is use the "View" menu in IE. Your particular script does not even work with Mozilla (Firebird).
4. Your portfolios loaded rather slowly (dialup connection) and once loaded the "important" links were below the bottom of my screen (800x600) and out of sight. Until I scrolled down I wasn't sure what made the page load slow nor did I see your links.
Now to me, using Firebird, your textual links looked fine (a rather orangish color). In IE they looked the same except the visited links showed as more of a yellow (which did not change with Firebird).
Thanks for the info. We'll be looking into the suggestions over the next week and hope that once they've been addressed, things will look and work more smoothly.
Keep the suggestions coming if anyone has suggestions. We always like to keep upgrading when possible.
