New to powweb - Getting a PHP-Nuke site set up for a friend here.
I had done the configuration and tweaking of the site on a test server and then used ncftp to mass upload files (tweaking permissions manually post-upload) I then used mysql control center to transfer the database, and then tweaked the config files/tables to point to the correct database/folders.
Everything running with no errors but it seems to be running extremely slow, to where sometimes, the page times out when loading. Before I start pulling my hair out I wanted to see if there was an easy explanation/fix for the problem.
In my eyes the problem could be:
1) I goofed somewhere in the upload /config and it is hanging wating fro a file with certain permisions or a non existant DB (I have tried to double-triple check this)
2) powweb is experiencing difficulties with their sql servers that is casuing sluggish response.
3) This is the normal speed for poweeb's PHP/Mysql processing
4) Powweb suggests certain optimizations to correctly take advantage of their setup.
site is nmcorvette.org .....
any help is greatly appreciated
