MySQL error 12

Hi, I'm on meteor.powweb.com and I'm getting MySQL error 12 which means MySQL is short of memory

whats up?

First always try and repairs your tables....It may or may not help. Not sure if mysql error 12 is memory or 2 sql's opening the same table at once.

I have already try to repair tables :)

this happens now and then but a lot more often latey and i can't seem to reply or read anything. there have not been any changes to my board at all and this seems to come and go. what is going on?

Error 12 means "Cannot allocate memory". Could be many reasons why the server is having trouble allocating memory, but it's definitely a problem on the server end. It's most likely a resource issue as this problem comes and goes. I don't think the servers can handle the resources needed when it hits a heavy load (not abusive, just heavy).

Powweb needs additional servers to spread out the load, or get a consultant in that can fix the issues they stated they don't have resolutions for yet.

I've been getting this repeatedly the past two or three days at www.achey.net/forum/ This has got to get resolved.

EDIT to add: Im on pulsar.powweb.com if it matters. And by "repeatedly" I mean constantly!

I'm also on pulsar and also getting mysql error 12. Also had this problem briefly, it went away, and now it's back. No one can get access to my forum, including me.

getting the same error 12 on my forums - I'm on meteor as well - it's been happening off and on for a couple days, but now any time I click on a forum, it gives me the error.

DB needed to be repaired but looks like we are operational again.

Mine's good now also. I guess I was under the wrong assumption that tech support actively monitored these forums. It's great to come here and discover a solution that some one else has found, but I guess for the big one's I'll file the official support requests sooner next time. Probably would have had it fixed at least a day earlier if I had, doh!. :)

I'd say go into support off the main site and file a request. Link to the page, they fixed mine in a few hours after that.
