Since this forum tends to be a bit too serious about some topics I thought I'd share something for you broadband users.

I found it amusing but then again I'm very easily amused.

...In 1969, Neil Armstrong made history by becoming the first man to walk on the moon, uttering the immortal phrase, "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." Or did he? Previously suppressed footage discovered by blogjam shows that Armstrong's reaction was a great deal more uninhibited than history suggests, and that a hasty editing job was needed to prepare the astronaut's moment of glory for broadcast.

So here, for the first time, is the unedited NASA film from the triumphant Apollo 11 mission...

I actually just saw Neil Armostrong on campus here... turns out he was standing right next to me... lol....

I approach a platform at a presentation from the side to see what's going on and I hear someone say something about Neil Armstrong, so I'm kinda interested... I walk over (as I said from the side of the stage/platform) and the speaker on stage says, "Ladies and Gentleman, I give you Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon." And the guy next to me says, "Excuse me" as he walks by (I was blocking the way to the stage I guess) me and walks to the mic on stage.

DOH!

If there was ever a time for a homer simpson DOH! it was then... when I realized I was standing right next to the first man to walk on the moon and didn't even realize it!

He was one of the VIP's we had invited out to fly our simulators the week before our opening. Because we were the first ones to gain FAA Phase II approval on general aviation simulators (biz jets) we had a lot of folks visiting, and flying the sims. I took neil in the Lear 35, and let him fly for about an our. :D My boss got stuck taking Jim Wright for a sim ride. ;)
