So I recently redesigned one of my sites and thought I'd post it for review: http://writtenignition.org

btw.. I also wrote the bulletin board software that runs it along with the random banner generate on most pages.

Thoughts? Questions? Concerns? Dislikes? :p

The forum loads quickly and I see you used cgi like the forum I chose for a client. The intro page is nice since there is just the forum, though more info would be nice. The fonts look cool for the website theme.

I don't want to get into a political debate, so I won't discuss the topics on the forum. Though the comment about the judge "Good riddance" upsets me. Soon the Christians won't be able to wear a Christmas pin to work without being in trouble. It seems that our rights have been squashed. Oops, I said I didn't want to talk about this.

Anyway, you did a great job on the website. The header on the forum seems large, though. But you needed the room for the quote about the Internet. Neat! Still pondering over the remark

A Right-Winged, Open-Minded Community for the Rest of Us. followed by (don't believe everything you read)

Hmm. Does that mean we are not supposed to believe what you say? Ha ha. I should send your url to Jeanna the extremist hippie who sends me so much crap about the government. That would give your forum something to talk about! Ha ha. You meet all types on the Internet.

Okay, enough teasing. Nice job on the website. :)

Thanks for your comments! :)

The forum loads quickly and I see you used cgi ... Yups, the Perl code generates all the HTML files at post time so further formatting isn't required when one reads the messages or board indexes. I originally wrote it for a client that needed something to handle 50,000 people a day because his database forum was overloading the server. :p

The intro page is nice since there is just the forum, though more info would be nice. Have any suggestions for more info?

The fonts look cool for the website theme. I believe it's called 3000 - one of those you can download/use for free. I'm particularly fond of it for this website as well.

The header on the forum seems large, though. I've went back and forth with the logo graphic with the size and position and this is what I've settled on for the moment even though I'm not completely satisfied with it.

I don't want to get into a political debate, so I won't discuss the topics on the forum. Feel free to solicit a response on the WI site and I'll be happy to continue this line of discussion. ;)

Ha ha. I should send your url to Jeanna the extremist hippie who sends me so much crap about the government. Yes, please do - I always enjoy a good wrestle with extremist hippies! :D

Thanks again for the critque.. I appreciate it!

Jeanna protects her email, but if you are on her list, she sends alot of political articles and jokes. You can visit her website at http://www.antuproductions.com/ for a laugh. She is nice, but very unusual. You guys could have fun just talking about her website! :p

Thanks for the link and I shall bookmark it for further investigation once I've finished wrestling the skunks out from the garage (seriously).. :)
