awstats not updating

I finally have the awstats for my site up but not exactly running. It says it has "never updated" and is showing all 0's for everything. I have checked, doublechecked, and triplechecked my crontab file, and it looks good. I have changed the time on there multiple times to see if that was the problem. I didn't leave any www's in there. There's nothing in my error log to indicate a problem, even after I added the >>/www/u/username/logs/cronaw.log 2>>/www/u/username/logs/cronaw.err line (using my username). I'm sure it could be any number of things wrong; any ideas? I'd really like to be done with this and see my stats. I'm sick to death of relying on webstats.

I appreciate the suggestion, but I don't want to have to DL any more programs or make PHP scripts or anything. I just want to know what I might be doing wrong that keeps it from updating automatically. I didn't think it would be that complicated...

The trouble with issues like this is that there's usually something wrong that isn't apparent from your description - for example, if you uploaded the file as binary and not text.

Try this. On your system, name the fine crontab.txt and upload it that way. Delete the crontab file you have and rename, on the server, crontab.txt to crontab

I note that you haven't shown us the entire crontab file - I found I had made several (!) mistakes in mine before I got it working.

If nothing else, invite someone to log into your server by FTP to have a look (you could create a temporary webuser for that purpose) - don't give out your regular username/password and use the Private Message feature to send the info.
