Have you followed the steps here: http://support.powweb.com/awstats.html
Here's a CHMOD helper - http://help.powweb.com/tutorials/ftp/chmod.php

Group -- Write & Other -- Write should be the only two NOT checked for 755.

I am talking about the web stats data. error log, hits, ip locations. That kind of stuff.

The data is pulled from your access logs. Maybe I'm not fully understanding your question...

The purpose of AWstats is to give you more detalied reports about your web site. errors, hits, where the people went, etc. When I look a the log is just a bunch of word all over the place. Is there something thats more graphical and easier to read?

Go to the awstats.pl script in a browser.
For example: http://www.yourdomain.com/cgi-bin/awstats.pl
Or go see the examples at http://awstats.sourceforge.net/

Did you upload the .pl files in ASCII? Did you chmod them to 755?

Maybe I am loging in wrong. If people can just go to
http://www.yourdomain.com/cgi-bin/awstats.pl
they can get my stats? Or should it ask for a password or do I log in differently?

My stats are open for everyone to see just by entering those file names? that can't be right or is it? believe it or not I have it set to do that. Also, when I I ftp the site files I have to re Chmod the files to 755 otherwise it will not hole the setting. Do u know why?

I replied in your other post. Please don't begin multiple threads on the same issue. It makes it more difficult for people to assist you. ;)
