Why Can't I Transfer

I tried to transfer my domains from DiscountDomainRegistry to you folks, but I get the message "The domain name(s) that you have added ... do not exist in the registry and cannot be transfered."

I have had these domains since June, so they should be over the 60 days required for transfer.

Any idea why your system does not recognize this transfer request?

dadcooks.com (also .net and .org)

You should have no problem transferring the registrar of dadcooks.com to ours unless there is a problem with your registrar.

Have you tried going to http://15domains.com, click on the "transfer registrar" link and following the directions?

Also, you don’t necessarily have to transfer your registrar to us to use our services; you only need to re-delegate your domains host (DNS) information to our name servers to be able to utilize our services. :)

Thanks for the prompt replies.

The other day (11/27/01), I did try going to 15domains.com--that is where I got the message in my first post.

Yes, I realize that I do not have to change registrars to use your services--I am not at all pleased with my current registrar so I am looking to change that as well as my host.

I have been slowly going through your faqs and other info--since I am "shopping" for a host I am comparing the faqs and info for many hosting services. So far, Powweb has been the clearest, complete, and most informative.
