The 500 message I keep getting (because there's a scripting problem on www08--per phone support) says I should turn on error logging so I can learn more about the problem. How do I do that? The tech support person I spoke to didn't know how to do it.
Error loggin is turned on by default. All you need do is to ftp into your site and look in the "logs" folder (at the same level as your htdocs folder).
You should see several files in there, the ones named "access_log" and "error_log" are your current log files. The other files with names like "error_log.1" - "error_log.2" are the previous days log files.

As I keep saying, these files are not there. No error_log.*, only access_log.* Believe me. Do you want me to take a screenshot?
Check your post in the "Getting Started" forum.
<FYI>
It does help if you only post in one forum for a specific problem. Posting in 2 different forums for the same problem does not mean you will get more answers.
Just like your reply to my post here, if I had not read your other post how would I know what you were meaning by "As I keep saying", that could be taken as being rude if I had not seen your other post.
