Hello all-

I am having trouble with my site. I have a ticket in but have not heard anything. My site is www.jtn-designs.com and it is on www07. It seems to be having permission errors or something. I have checked all the permission in my ftp client and everything is set correct and I did not change a thing.

I took my site offline so the page says that it is offline, but the offline image doesnt even show...

I did find that http://www.jtn-designs.com/images/stories/mos_logo_24.png (the image for offline) gives this message when typed in manually in the browser - it is a 403 Forbidden error...

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /images/stories/mos_logo_24.png on this server.

Any Ideas? Thanks

Have you contacted Support yet? Seems to be a problem that most here won't be able to help solve.

EDIT: Or maybe not...

What are the permissions for the images folder...and the image itself?

Welcome to the lovely world of real operating systems with real file systems. Yes, Virginia, the filenames are case sensitive.

As often as PowWeb seems to f' something up, I've never known them to be rude. You were in the wrong, not PowWeb.

ok - no i wasnt in the wrong - and I have been using "real" operating systems forever... I know about case sensativity, fs permissions, web server (apache in this case) permissions and file paths... they were all correct. I had explained to them that it was working fine then it was hosed up, they sent me an email back telling me that the reason stuff (mostly images) was not showing up was because I messed up file paths or case sensativity or permissions. at which I responded saying that I am not that novice and that I had not been on my site since last Thursday - and it worked fine then. then all of the sudden it started working... go figure - so You are wrong - I was not in the wrong -i never said they were rude - just blowing me off... but it was a polite blowoff... :)
