Lots of failed connects on mysql03

Ever since the outage saturday I've been having a lot of problems maintaining connections on mysql03. Today has been a bad day as well. Lots of connection failures.

mysql03 needs replacing.

Problems persist. Basically I get at least 100 vbulletin errors each day now with this message:

mysql error: Lost connection to MySQL server during query

mysql error number: 2013

I've noticed numerous times during the day there seems to be an outage of anywhere from 5 - 10 minutes. Then starts working again, only to occur again in an hour or so. Frequent problems with lost connection to mysql03.

There's definately probs here on mysql03. It's given me every error in the book. Those who haven't experienced problems can't be monitoring or relying on it as much as we are I guess. I don't imagine the other mysql servers are much better but I want out of 03.

Can I be moved from mysql03 ??..

Well, I've already decided not to renew any of my websites with PowWeb. There's only so much crap a paying customer is supposed to take.

And I've far exceeded my limit.

This is becoming a ritual.. slows down gradually to snail pace then dies. 1.. 2.. 3.. minutes and it's away at light speed again. well walking speed at least. I know you guys are asleep but this is peak hour in Oz.

I ask again..

CAN POWWEB MOVE ME OFF MYSQL03 TO A MORE STABLE RELIABLE SERVER ???..

Well, no, I wasn't getting an error. I simply tried my site that uses mysql03 and it was working. I did notice that the server claimed to have been up for only an hour and a half when I last looked.

I'm having general performance problems with all web sites lately, so I can't blame anything specifically on PowWeb. I haven't actually seen any mysql03 errors for a few weeks, now, though I'll admit I'm not a heavy user of it.

Well, except my powweb site.

I would point out how it has been crawling for days and a few mysql shutdowns. I could point out that its taking 45-60 seconds to load a single page at the moment, but I can see you have your own problems.

Your http://kittyangels.org/ website took about 15 seconds to load for me.

http://hollistownband.org/ is completely dead.

http://cheshiregarden.com/ had a image that wouldn't load for about 30 seconds.

and http://stevelionel.com/ is also completely dead.

I would be pissed, you might consider looking into a new host.

P.S.

You do have one website that loads quick as a whip though. The one I get when I click on the "www" under your name. Everything on it loads superfast even the forums.
