www.vma-international.com

Have done away with a lot of the flashing things and was wondering if this looks to be along the right lines.

I have kept the frames (for now) but most search engines are finding me. I have dumped the contents of the database into a file called search.html which then redirects to index.html.

I really appreciate your help in this forum.

Looking good........very clean and easy navigation in this new look. There are however a couple of things you might want to look into

1 is that the tickertape text under the VMA doesn't work in Firebird.

2 is that your text that appears and disappears between your top menu and the main body of the page also doesn't work in Firebird . This in particular gives the site a rather 'disjointed ' look as the background is a different color from the menu things just don't seem to quite 'hang together'

I don't know why but when I clicked the link, it loaded your page as https://magnatar.powweb.com if ther's a way to mask that, you may want to do so... just to keep a professional look

Good idea - even though there's info to be scrolled to on the first page, you at least put your contact info in the first frame.

Looks like a clean site... only downside I see is load time... some pages *in particular Karate* took the better part of 45sec's to load on dial-up (48k and nothing else running right now).

Good work

You can see the powweb address cause its an entirely secure site...which is ok...but I don't recommend it simply because of the address bar.

You don't need SSL until you start to check out...after you confirm your shopping cart contents. So maybe thats something to look into...and your visitors won't be confused.

I like the design...nice and simple and easy to navigate. The only thing, on the Video link on the top...no titles show up...you have to search first.

And maybe taking out the shopping cart at the top of each page (when you put an item in there)...and putting in a shopping cart link. Or maybe just move it to the bottom of the page...out of the way...but its still there.

But I like it...2 thumbs up:D

I really like the sound of all your ideas.

I am working on the "45 seconds time delay" thing - when there are to many videos returned - by making it only display, say, 15 at a time.

Anyone know of a simple bit of SQL to achieve this?

You don't need SSL until you start to check out...after you confirm your shopping cart contents.

Definitely fix that first, because someone may want to bookmark your site or link to it and this is confusing. And since I mentioned bookmarking, if your site is in frames, we hope they do not right click the contents page and try to bookmark it! :D

I also agree with the other comments. I still think the secure site animation is not necessary or the scrolling of the word "international" under "VMA". The ticker tape text is not necessary and won't work in Mozilla Firebird.

Still waiting for conversion to US dollars! ;) Am I going crazy or did I not see a link back to the home page? Only other problem is that gray and black is difficult to read. Other links seem fine and the site looks nice.

Thanks everyone.

I have now put the search box in the top frame. - So, that's the end of the Ticker Message!

Totally agree - the Marque "International" is naff. - It will go soon.

When I use the URL Masking (or some call it a "gripper") to mask out the SSL powweb secure site - I don't get the little secure padlock icon - I think that this is because I'm using frames???

Oh, and Yvette, the US dollar thing is my next venture - thanks for pushing me!

Great job and thanks for taking our advice. Looking forward to US dollars on the site to tell people here about your products. Too bad you didn't have them for Christmas. But videos make great Valentine's Day gifts! :D

Merry Christmas and a Happy new year to everyone - especially those that have helped me put my site together.

Have Fun

Even though all your frames are secure...the page you are calling the frames from (secure.html)...is not secure and you won't get the little lock at the bottom.
