Am logged into my webspace with LeechFTP and can successfully create a new directory at the root of the webspace but am unable to create a directory under htdocs. Something I'm doing wrong ?
Also, do I have to upload PHP scripts to the cgi bin or can I upload them to a folder under htdocs ?
:o
Cheers.

Some new package owners have experienced incorrect chmod on htdocs. Set it to 755. If you can't it will have to be done by support@powweb.com
.php will run from any folder/directory.

htdocs was at 755 by default.
Cheers for info on .php :)

Basically I get a 550 Permission denied but I'm logging in with the FTP user created when I subscribed and can't see any options unders OPS for FTP permissions.

Newly created ftp users in ops can take up to an hour to take effect.
That's not your problem though.... you can log in.. you can create Dir in other Dir's... htdocs is 755...(are you sure?)... Is it possible for you to re-install smartFTP?..

I'm currently using LeechFTP but will try quickly with smartFTP.
Could be a problem with the client, doubt it tho.

Same result with smartFTP.

Ok. Thanks. Only staff can reset your htdocs permissions. Email support@powweb.com if you do it through ops you'll get a tracking support ticket.
p.s. You must setup a mysql database in ops/billing-plan tab before .php will work.

Darn hot here today.. got under the sprinkler for awhile. But just had to flick the air-con on in the end. I just love summer here. I used to surf, but now just like to sit and watch. I'm sure the bikini cossie's are getting smaller every year.
