Merry Christmas Everyone!
One of my websites got over the 15,360 file count limit. (Way over). So I have been doing a lot of labor trimming the site down to get under the cap. I've also bought a 2nd domain to spread things over.
Now I have it ready, down from 22,000 to 8,000 - but uploading is terrible because I cannot delete non empty folders. When I try to delete a entire folder, WS_FTP Pro gives me a message that "!Allow deletion of non empty folders disabled". That means I have to go to the deepest level of a folder and work my way outward.
I looked in Member Ops but do not see a way to change this. Does anyone have any suggestions how I can do this faster. This will literally take days to do it otherwise.
I don't want to wipe the entire website clean because there are some scripts, photo folders and cgi stuff that I should not have to modify
I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks
((A big part of my file count problem was FrontPage insisting on putting all these _vti_cnf folders in my web, that doubles the file count. It also makes me have to dig down farther to start deleting...Those are not at all necessary - are they?))
