Hi :)

I need to delete a folder with a relatively huge content. Meaning, lots of folders in it, lots of files. Doesn't work with my ws_ftp LE.

I read the thread FTP File deletion...

BUT, my computer crashes and refuses to do anything when I do the suggested (use the links posted in the thread FTP file deletion...).

So.. what I wondered was if you could inform me about any free ftp-programs that allows me to delete folders containing stuff?

Just as I posted in the thread you referenced - use Internet Explorer. It doesn't get any more free than that - plus you already have it installed.

ftp://ftpusername@ftpserver.powweb.com

Replace 'ftpusername' and 'ftpserver' with your specifics.

tbonekkt, thanks for your quick reply

but

I guess I didn't explain well enough...

I did what you suggested there, before I made this thread.

And it made my computer crash. I have also tried this on my dad's computer, which is a better and faster one, but same thing happened.

That's interesting...never had that happen to me...

Try FileZilla - http://filezilla.sourceforge.net - that's my regular FTP client.

Yeah, I thought it was weird..

Thanks a bunch!

And btw, do you know of an easy ftp-prog for mac (free?)?

(it's not for me, but my brother)

I've found some, but they only last for a few days.

You may want to delete smaller groups of files instead of the entire folder of files, if the computer, program or Internet decides to give up during the process.
